Governor Adams Oshiomhole Apologizes Over Comments To a Widow

Gov. Adams Oshiomhole of Edo today Friday November 29th apologized for the comments he made to a widow in Benin during an inspection tour on Mission Road, in the state capital, a fortnight ago.

Oshiomhole said that he now regretted the comments which had become the subject of discourse in the social media. The Governor said that he made the comments in anger.

The governor’s apology was made when the leadership of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN), paid him a courtesy visit in Benin. Continue…

He noted that though the challenge of modern times had bestowed on the shoulders of some women and single mothers the status of bread winners of their homes, such should not be used as an accuse to flout the laws.

The Governor urged the Muslim women leaders to use their offices to propagate the essence of healthy living among children and women in the nation and the need to maintain proper sanitary conditions in their neighbourhoods.

Oshiomhole lamented that the challenge of widowhood had also exposed children to different temptations, adding that there was the need for society to be careful, to avoid unwittingly creating more problems for the nation.

He noted that money was not the best thing that guaranteed ones happiness, “but honesty and selfless service.

The Governor added that if Muslims and Christians were adequately committed to their religious doctrines, the world would be a better place.

He urged the women to propagate the message of Islam through the nooks and crannies of the nation, and to also inculcate the values of honesty in their followers.

Oshiomhole, however, assured the association of government’s support in ensuring that its present leadership made remarkable progress and also consolidated on the successes of their predecessors.

Earlier, the FOMWAN National President, Hajia Amina Omoti, urged the state government to look into the issue of the teaching of Islamic Religious Studies in public schools in the state.

Omoti also solicited for government’s moral and financial support for the effective running of the association.

“Welcome To The Wonderful World Of HIV!” Woman Tells Man After They Had S*x

A man’s life was turned upside down by a vicious woman after a one night stand.
The 36-year-old man of Soweto, South Africa, was horrified after the woman deliberately infected him with HIV.
After a drunken night in a bar, the man took the woman to his house where they had s3x.
The man said that he used a condom for the one night stand before the two fell asleep in his bed.
Later, he woke up to find the woman on top of him. The man did not resist, and they had s3x again.
This time however, the sleepy man did not get out of bed to get a condom.

When they were done having s3x the evil woman said: “Welcome to the world of HIV.”

She then informed him that she was HIV positive and that she did not want to die alone.

“I had been a blood donor for years, but after the encounter with the woman when I went to donate blood I was rejected,” the victim said.

“I went to be tested for HIV and my worst nightmare was confirmed,” he added.

He was indeed HIV positive.

The angry man went to police in order to file charges against the woman.

However, Officer Solomon Sibiya said it would be difficult to open a case as there is little evidence against the woman.

The 48-year-old celebrity paid for three first class tickets for fan Marion Minchuk, his girlfriend and nurse to fly to Los Angeles from Arizona to visit him.
Previously Marion, who only has a month left to live, got in touch with Charlie’s representative and asked if there was any way he could meet him before he died.
Sheen put up his guests in the Presidential Suite at the Universal Hilton Hotel and also took them to the set of his comedy series Anger Management where Marion got to sit in Charlie’s famous chair.
Then the group was invited to the actor’s house and treated with the lunch, specially prepared by the chef.
Afterwards they went to the screening room to watch Sandra Bullock’s new movie Gravity.
Charlie signed an ‘Anger Management’ script and DVD of his film ‘Wall Street’ and the fan posed for photographs with his idol after he made his dream come true.
This month Charlie Sheen also donated $25 000 to a Philippines aid charity.

10 Things Your Woman’s Body Is Telling You

The female body is a work of art and well deserves to be admired, while clothed or naked.
If you peel your eyes away from her butt and breasts for a few moments, you can improve your chances with the one you’re after. Just look for these 10 subtle signs to understand what she’s thinking and feeling.

Pupils: If she’s feeling stimulated by you (not just sexually), her pupils will dilate. That’s because her body is programmed to want to see more of whatever’s exciting her, so her brain tells her irises to let in more light.
Eyelashes: Hold her gaze for a minute. If she’s blinking more than normal (which is about 15 times a minute), there’s a good chance she’s on the Pill; women on birth control blink 32 percent more than those who aren’t. Aside from the obvious, what does that mean for you? Put on your toughest, most confident mug as you look at her. Because of the shift in hormone levels, research says, women on the Pill are more attracted to men with rugged features, such as strong, wide jaws.
Brain: She’s matching you drink for drink, you’re starting to feel like reenacting Animal House, but she seems like her same old self. What’s the deal? Men and women get different kinds of buzzes: Men lose inhibitions, while women become sedated. If you’re looking to get her into the party spirit, don’t feed her more alcohol. Instead, feed the jukebox. Research shows that mid- to fast-tempo music will make her more social.
Belly: Want to know if it’s a good or bad time to broach a tricky conversation? You can tell if she’s suitably relaxed by her breathing pattern. If her stomach pulls in with each inhalation, she’s taking shallow breaths from her chest, which indicates stress. Keep your distance. If her abdomen and chest expand with each inhalation, she’s taking deeper, more rhythmic breath, a sign of relaxation. Go for it.
Nose: Her sense of smell is sharpest first thing in the morning, which, aside from being a good reason to brush your teeth immediately, makes it the best time to impress her with your culinary skills. That’s because 90 percent of taste is really smell. Treat her to a breakfast in bed consisting of warmed banana-nut bread, which has an aroma that, according to one study, increases bloodflow to the vagina. And that may lead to a different kind of morning treat.
Chest: Sex flush, a pinkish look to the skin of her chest, occurs during foreplay. It stems from changes in blood pressure and circulation, along with pulse and respiration rates. Think of it as her coy way of telling you that if you keep doing what you’re doing, you just might get lucky. Another sign that things are working: A woman’s breasts grow by as much as 25 percent as things turn hot and heavy.
Small of Her Back: As she moves toward orgasm during sex, she’ll begin to arch her back. Hold her tight around the small of her back at this point and stay attuned to how much she’s arching. And, for God’s sake, do not let up; maintain the same rhythm and intensity of stimulation until she climaxes. She’ll pay you back for this later, with interest.
Fingernails: Pay attention to her fingers; among the surest signs of anxiety or depression in a woman are body-focused repetitive behaviors, such as skin picking and nail biting. If you see her doing that, don’t nag her to stop; that can send her deeper into a spiral. Instead, gently pull her hand away, give it a squeeze, and hold on to it. Feel the tension ooze right out.
Hands: If it seems as if she always has cold hands, that’s because she does, almost 3 degrees colder than yours, possibly more if she’s stressed. Women’s bodies, even more than men’s, are programmed to keep their cores warmer than their extremities. So to warm her hands up, don’t massage them; wrap your arm around her waist. This will warm her core and allow blood to flow back into her hands.
Between Her Legs: Okay, you know enough about your partner’s menstrual cycle to know when to leave her alone. Now add this to your arsenal: Two weeks after her period begins, she will be at her horniest, guaranteed. Female sexual motivation is highest when she’s ovulating. Warning: This is also when she’s most likely to get pregnant.

Babatunde Fashola Blasts Stella Oduah

The governor said this at the 7th annual Town Hall Meeting on Security, themed: ‘Sustaining Local Responding To Rising National Security Challenges,’ held at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
“It is sad to know that the Federal Government that allocate three patrol vehicles for one state police command of 370, 000 police men, is unable to resolve how N255 million was used to purchase 2 saloon vehicles for one officer. It is a very grave irony.

“The cost of average vehicle needed to patrol the state is just N5 million. And with such fund, we will have put at least 51 patrol vehicles on the road, patrolling the streets of Lagos.”
“In spite of all this, they resist the idea of a state police. The money from the fund was in the last one year used to provide vehicles for the Nigerian Prison Service, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, National Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC and indeed the airport wing of the Nigerian police, is funded from this money. And it is the same aviation ministry that manage the airport that we had this very odious car scandal of N255 million.”
The governor noted that the upshot of central Government’s failure to confront security has continued for the past seven years.
“The residents of Lagos have borne the burden of that neglect, and there is no indication that anything will change soon, in spite of endless reform deliberation and proposals.”
On the crime rate in the state, Fashola said “Our crime data base now has record content of 92, 488 which helps us to keep track of all those who have been arrested, prosecuted, jailed or have any contact with the criminal justice system.”
He added that the state is preparing for a future of crime prevention, saying “it will be technologically driven, scientifically grounded and result assured.

The MANY PLUSES And USES Of Your New National ID Card

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) representative described the advantages of the new national identity card. Apart from many other things, it may also be used as an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card anywhere in the world where there is MasterCard logo.

Briefing journalists today in Abuja, NIMC’s Director of Technical Services, Mr Emmanuel Ogungbe disclosed the Commission have already signed an agreement with MasterCard.

He explained that, besides being just an ID card, it is also a cash card, so the holder can withdraw money in any place. Moreover, especially within the West African sub-region, it soon would become possible to travel with this card only, passport-free.

Mr. Ogungbe called the card “a general-multi-purpose card”. All the holder needs to do, he maintained, is to present it at the point of entry of any country. After the information is checked, the entry would be allowed.
Mr. Ogungbe stressed the new card is “error-proof,” and thus, secure.

“We have a system called automated biometrics identification system in our data centre that checks information of newly registered people coming into the database against what we already have in the database,” he said. “If there is a hit, that means that person was registered before, and, of course, this means we will deny new registration.

“So, there is no way of beating that system for now; I’m very confident of that. That will ensure that you can only register once.”

The card is supposed to assist in tracking criminals as well.

“What the bad elements do is to hide in a way that you won’t be able to capture them. But we are saying with this [ID card] we know who they are and we will be able to very easily locate them.” Mr. Ogungbe said. If any fingerprints are lifted at the crime scene, it is enough to send them to NIMC – and they will disclose full details on the culprits.

“Talk about even fraud in the banks, where someone will obtain a loan in a particular bank, move on to the next bank without servicing the previous loan to obtain another loan; that will become a thing of the past,” Mr. Ogungbe added.

“Because once the bank takes your national identification number, it can see all your various transactions, all various businesses that you have with all the other banks.”

He said that government had asked the commission to ‘register every single Nigerian and legal residents’ but warned the aliens against any attempt to use the card to commit crimes.

“If you are an alien and you think you can continue doing that and go scot-free, then the person’s time is numbered because very soon, we will get to him or her,” he assured.

“I Was A Studio Rat Till God Lifted Me”, Sean Tizzle Opens Up On Life, Career, Challenges & More (READ)

http://www.egistonline.com/sites/default/files/styles/article_image_full_node/public/field/image/Sean-Tizzle.jpg?itok=J5DkdnS5

Morinhafen Oluwaseun, popularly known and called Sean Tizzle, rose from oblivion into commercial success with his hit track, Sho lee. In this interview, the award-winning act talks about his life, career, challenges and other issues.

Who is Sean Tizzle?

My real name is Morinhafen Oluwaseun. I am from Ilaje, Ondo State. I was born into a family of five and I enjoyed being the last child before another child joined me. I was born in Ikeja, Lagos in 1989, but my family relocated to Ikorodu. Growing up was fun but we had a lot of restrictions because our parents were strict disciplinarians. They are very good Christians too. I attended the Command Secondary School, Ibadan, and I was in a boarding house.  I studied Theatre Arts at the University of Ibadan.

Beyond Sean Tizzle, who is Seun?

I am calm, cool-headed, down-to-earth and straightforward. I am also very prayerful and playful.

When did you start your music career?

Professionally, I have been doing music for five years. My uncle was a gospel rap artiste and he introduced me into music. I started with a group called the ‘3-way band’.  Initially, I was a rap artiste but I left.  My first record was released in 2009 by my producer, D’tunes.  Then in 2013, we unleashed the Sean Tizzle brand.

Do you think your fame came too late or too soon?

I’d been working on myself over the years and expecting this to happen. Everything has its own time.  I have been a studio rat for most of my career life.  I stayed in the studio, listened to songs and beats from established musicians, learnt how to harmonise tunes and a lot of other skills.  My background is in the church and I would not say my fame came too early. I would rather say it came too late. But then, I also think it came at a time appointed by God.

This year must have been a good one for your career, isn’t it?

It has been great and I thank God. I have been travelling and working on more recordings. My new single, ‘Take It,’ is another instant crowd anthem. Life has been good.  I hope to keep on working in this competitive industry.

Are you facing challenges? The challenges are just the basic ones people have to face in order to make it.  Challenges are normal in any business that must thrive.

Have you heard your fans say you look like Davido?

Yes.  Some people still call me Davido.  Davido has the same experience; people sometimes mistake him for me.

How do you feel when they keep doing that?

He is a friend of mine. It shows we are doing something right. Nobody knew that I look like Davido two years ago. It shows that God has brought me out and people have taken notice.

Is he somebody you look up to?

Yes. I love good music and I can look up to anybody who is making good music.

What inspired the song, ‘Shole’?

It was just a good beat from my label boss, D’tunes.

What is the meaning?

Shole simply means, ‘don’t prove hard to get.’  If you prove so, the next girl (kole) is not hard to get, so why make yours such a big deal?  The song is directed at proud ladies, people who do what we call ‘forming.’ But I still love and respect them.

Is it based on a personal experience?

Not really. You know music is supposed to speak to people. If what I am saying has happened to anybody, the music would communicate to the person.

Do you envisage any of your songs having the same impact as Shole?

To me, all my songs are hits. Whenever I am in the studio recording, the song is already a hit on my mind. I always pray for God’s help and guidance before starting work on my songs.  Besides, I keep reinventing myself by working all the time.  The mind is like cutlass, when you don’t use it for a long time, it will become blunt.

How far has your music taken you?

It has taken me very far.   I have won three awards so far.  I was in the United States for Emmy Awards and I was also in London for a festival.  I was on BBC radio and television. That is big.  I have been travelling and performing outside the country since.

What happens when the successes don’t keep coming?

It will not happen. God will not let it come to that.

How is your love life?

I am single for now. I am just focused on my career.

How do you react to attention from female fans?

They are my friends. I love and respect them. I don’t have any crush on anybody, my only crush is music. When I have made enough money, then I will develop crush for ladies. You have to make money because someday, you will have to raise a home and have children. My family members are all professionals and I don’t want to be seen as a lazy person.

Has a lady broken your heart before?

Everybody has been heartbroken before. It is part of what we have to experience in life. You know ladies ‘form’ all the time.

How do you rate yourself among other Nigerian artistes?

I am just there. My fans are the ones who will decide. For me, I just want to keep doing my work. I leave it to the streets because the fans on the street determine how good we are. If they say you are good, then you are.

Who influences your music?

God is number one.  I admire the music of D’banj, Femi Kuti and Wande Coal.  I have different sounds, ranging from Fuji to hip hop and afro.

Have you ever had disappointments?

Yes. But we are strong and we keep pushing until we get there. It is not only in music alone, it is in everything we do. What brings about the evil also inspires the good and what brings about darkness causes people to think of light.

What is your assessment of the Nigerian music industry?

It is a good one. It is growing. Now, we have Europeans listening to our music.

What does style mean to you?

Style means everything to me because it is showbiz and it is about perception. I remember there was a time I was going on singlet, now I am looking formal. That means one has to move from a stage to the other.

What would you never wear?

Anything that does not suit me.

What is the next phase for you?

I have shows lined up. I am also dropping my album next year April. I have a soundtrack for Tunde Kelani’s movie, Dazzling mirage.

“I’m Not As Crazy As People Think I Am” Akpako Master, Terry-G Speaks On Life, Challenges, Career & More (READ)

http://www.egistonline.com/sites/default/files/styles/article_image_full_node/public/field/image/Terry-G..jpg?itok=4keDsYF6

Ginjah King and Akpako master, Gabriel Amanyi also know as Terry G or Gzus, who recently released his fourth album ‘Book of Ginger’ in all ramifications is an energetic entertainer and at the same can be as calm as a toad in the sun. The Benue State-born performer talks to NET about the changes in his life, Career, Family, Music and more…enjoy!

You’ve been quiet for a while. Why’s that?

I decided to lay low for a while because I now have a kid. I’m also into a few businesses that at the time needed my attention. I opened a water company called REX Water. The truth is, I now have more responsibilities, which I need to concentrate on. It’s not like those days when I used to go for shows on a regular. I can’t depend on music money alone; so, other businesses and my son are other responsibilities that now have my attention.

You’ve also changed your looks and toned down on your stagecraft?

That is life for you. There is time for everything. Maybe I’m tired of all of it and I’m becoming more matured as a father. Since I had my kid, I now see life in another perspective. It still adds to the fact that when your environment changes, you should be able to adapt.

You recently ended your European tour. How is your assessment of the tour?

It was fun and at the same time very hectic because I had to perform every day of the week. I never had even a day to rest; we were going from one country to the other. Nobody cares to know how tired you were. The fans just wanted to see you perform because they have paid for you to do so. At the same time it was fun because we killed it everywhere in the twelve cities.

A few months ago you released the ‘Book Of Ginjah’ How have your fans accepted the album?

So far the reception has been positive and great. Many of the fans have been reaching out to us telling us how much they love it.  We have also been shooting a couple of videos too. All we have to do is keep doing the promotion.

In the Book of Ginjah, you did a few tracks that were a shift from your regulars. Why did you do that?

In terms of music, Nigeria is a very rich nation. There are so many style of music that we could play, it is just that the current trend does not give room for people to be creative and have their own styles. On this album I just decided to do a few experiments, which at the end of the day is working out well.

You started out as an R&B singer. Do you miss that side of you?

I don’t miss the RnB Terry G because I still record RnB songs, which I would never release. I just sit back on my own and enjoy them. The market identifies you by what you release. It is only people that are close to you that will know what you have.

How close are you with the mother of your child?

We have been together for about six years now. We live together even though we are not married yet. That is just how close we are. She’s my manager and so any business that has to do with Terry G has to go through her. She is very well educated. I have other mangers out there but she is my permanent manager.

Are there plans in the works to get married anytime soon?

Yes there are plans but it has to be the right time.

Amongst all Nigerian artistes, you seem to have a strong closeness with Timaya?

Actually Timaya is the only artiste I’m very close to in the industry. I don’t go out and I’m not so social based on the fact that my kind of music seems to be a threat to so many of my colleagues and some are scared to do collaborations with me and so I decided to keep to myself. Timaya is one artiste that isn’t afraid to work with anybody and he is a great guy. Timaya and I have been very close for a long time.

But at a point in your career you were the go to guy for production and collaborations, what now happened?

I decided to change my way of life and be on my own. I think then, I never used to value my talent as much as I should. I just did things for free and at the end of the day, it was either I didn’t get my credit or I got embarrassed that I hijacked a song. Due to these experiences, I decided to back off and to concentrate on my thing because I know I can do it myself and it has been working well and I have been earning more.

The ‘Book of Gingah’ concert was held in Abuja a few months ago, when is it happening in Lagos?

Yes we are still working on that, and it’s definitely going to be a big one. I don’t like to rush because every step one takes is a huge risk, so it has to come at the right time. The one we had in Abuja was a big one and by the grace of God, it was a huge success. The area father, Charly Boy was there to support us all the way. The fans in Abuja were awesome.

Why did you disband your crew, House of Gingah?

As at the time, I think I wasn’t responsible enough to manage and finance the group. I took the whole responsibility of financing the group by myself. I was shooting videos and other stuff and it was becoming very hectic to manage and so I decided to back off because it affected me personally. But it’s a dream that can be accomplished when the time is right. They are my friends so we might come back together or I just might do solo stuff for them.

How do you separate Gabriel from Terry G?

People need to understand that my real life is different from my artistic life. Sometimes people see me and expect me to act crazy. Before I go on stage, I like to be sober. I don’t drink before I go on stage because I work with energy and alcohol weighs you down. Sometimes I’m sober so much that the organisers come to me to ask if there is a problem. But when I go on stage, it is with the mind that the better my performance, the more shows I will get or else I will be hungry. I’m not as crazy as people think I am. It is all an act just like the way you see Jim Iyke and other actors do their thing in the movies. That’s why they call it entertainment.

You started your music career in the Church; do you still go to service?

It’s been a while since I went to church, because we work on weekends. Most of our stuff are held during the weekends. If we are not at events, we are probably shooting a video or doing other stuff.

The last time you went what was the reception like?

The last time I went was one of the New Year eve’s services. I was sitting at the back seat and after the New Year wishes; people turned around and saw me. Before I knew it, there was a large crowd of people around me and my car. It didn’t seem like we were in a church.
